Race Details
The Hilton Head 5K, Half and Full Marathon starts and finishes at Jarvis Park in the heart of Hilton Head Island on Saturday, February 11th! Start time is 8:00 AM for the marathon and half marathon and 8:30 AM for the 5k. We'll be updating this website regularly with new information, so be sure to check back periodically for up-to-date information.
The Courses
Half Marathon
START TIME: 8:00 AM
Marathon
START TIME: 8:00 AM
The marathon will follow the same course as the Half Marathon for the first half and then continue on the following loop to the finish.
*This course is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier!
5K
START TIME: 8:30 AM
Water and aid stations for the 5K will be located near mile 2.
PACERS
Half Marathon
Will range from 1:30 to 3:00 finish times in the following 10-minute increments: 1:30, 1;40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:40, 2:50, 3:00.
Full Marathon
Will range from 3:00 to 5:20 in the following increments: 3:00, 3:05, 3:10, 3:20, 3:25, 3:30, 3:35, 3:40, 3:50, 3:55, 4:05, 4:20, 4:35, 4:50, 5:05, 5:20.
GEAR CHECK
Gear check tent will be open at 6:30 AM on race morning.
NUTRITION / AID STATIONS
AWARDS
There will be overall awards for the top 3 Male and Female runners in each distance. Age group awards will be given to the top three male and female in the age ranges 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
The After Party
The Hilton Head Marathon doesn’t end at the finish line – the fun continues with an awesome after-party in Jarvis Creek Park!
There will be music, food, drinks, and a craft beer garden! Best of all, registered runners (21+) get two beer tickets to enjoy cold Island Brands Beer after their race!
Lowcountry Boil
Brand new for 2023, all runners will be treated to an authentic Lowcountry Boil after the run, provided by Lowcountry Kitchen of Bluffton, SC. Get ready to feast on delicious shrimp, sweet corn, fingerling potatoes, and andouille sausage!
Directions & Parking
There is FREE Parking at Hilton Head Island High School Campus off Highway 278 at Wilborn Rd. Please allow plenty of time to park and walk across Highway 278 to get to the starting area. The walk is a good half mile or so from the school parking lot to Jarvis Creek Park. No vehicles will be allowed inside Jarvis Creek Park for any reason.

Packet Pick-up
*Only runners who purchase bib mailing and don't receive their bib in time for the event will be able to pick up their bib on race day. Runners who have their bibs mailed to them will be able to pick up their swag items either before or after the race.
